The Book Of Ruth: Who Do You Belong To?

Updated: May 9, 2023

So often we grow up with this impression that we don't mean anything and aren't any good to anyone, even ourselves.

We forget that there are those who love us past ourselves and one who cares for us as a whole and wants nothing but our love and affection. Someone who doesn't care about your past, current situation, or circumstances or even how "dirty" you claim you are. He just wants you for you.

Despite how that may seem, or even hard to believe... it's true!

He really only wants all of you. Do you know what that means when someone says they want " all of you?' It means they are willing to look at, and look past your faults, shame, guilt, defeat and delay that has caused your life to stand where it is now. There is beauty in surrender, and surrendering to one whose only desire is to love you with and past all faults, hurt and shame.

Maybe you've never experienced what I'm talking about, maybe you've never experienced loss or doubt, maybe even shame. Thank God for that! Even if you haven't experienced it, there are those who have and need reassurance and rest from themselves, past and current ways.

That can come by way of surrender, saying "Father, I messed up, and acknowledge my faults! I acknowledge all that I have done and that has happened to me, they hurt me, I hurt me, and am ashamed. Will you please love me, will you please come into my life and change me. Comfort me, and clean me up from the inside and out! Father, I have no one else, but you, and I am willing to give you a chance. I'm willing to give you time, and take as much as you want, because I want to be made whole. I want a life where I can seek rest, where I can seek shelter and comfort under the shadow of the Almighty. I no longer have to be afraid or bound by my past and present! Father I renounce all evil works, doing, and dealings in the form of disobedience, witchcraft, soothing spirits, suicide, depression, and even demonic delay and distraction that have been passed down through generations or introduced through my own doings. Father, I repent! Father, I repent and ask for your forgiveness! I ask that you come into my life, and make me whole again with you. As you desired from the foundation of the Earth. I vow and desire to worship you in spirit and in truth!

Father, I give you full access to me! I give you my all and surrender everything about me and that is connected to me, Lord!

I choose to make you bigger and myself smaller, that you will see me as you see you--- Holy and acceptable before your throne and that your mercy and grace find me in every area and facet of my life. I receive the gift of the Holy Spirit that will teach me in all ways and manner that is acceptable unto you. Lord, you are now my life, and I love you more than anything.

Just as Ruth loved Naomi, and received favor from strangers in a foreign land that brought her closer to you through your loving kindness, Father I desire that same favor and love. That same willingness to go where you go, that desire to be all that you are, that desire to even lay down my life, will and desire for you, that you be lifted high--- all for your love, mercy, and grace. Father, I thank you for loving me, when I didn't even love myself, Father I thank you that you chose me, when I couldn't choose myself. Father your love saved me when I couldn't save myself, and I am forever grateful and thankful for you and your son Jesus Christ. I thank you for being the Godhead of my life and world and I give you all the honor, glory, and the praise.

In Jesus mighty name, Amen!

I want you to know that your story is still unfolding at the proper time. That there is no mistake that you've made or has happened to you that the Lord can't fix. You're never to far that he can't find you. In this devotional, we see that Ruth came from a place, tribe, genealogy, and people that were deemed the lowest of lows, uncleanly, and unworthy to be in the presence of the Almighty God. BUT GOD!

God will take your story, and the situation just like Ruth, to bear an heir to the throne of Glory! God will use the foolish things to confound the wise. To some, you may be foolish, but listen to God you are what he needs! You're that missing piece to that place or dry area that needs raiment or refreshing, don't waste or delay, but obey and move by leading of the Holy Spirit!

Take time in his presence and desire to hear his voice covering this devotional and every area of your life! God bless you and be sure to share with others.

God speed!
